Ans:- The poet thinks that the person
who are running the Roadside Stand, Suffer from a childish longing. They are
always expecting customer and waiting for their prospective customers all day
long. They keep there windows open the attract them. They became sad went no on
terms of .They keep on waiting to here squeal of brakes , the sound of a
stopping car . But all their efforts are in event because no customers turn up
.The poet could not bear this pain of the people.
Q2. Why do car stop by , if
do they stop at all at the road side stand ?
Ans:- Sometimes a car stops near the
Roadside Stand only to use the yard to back and turned round the car . At other
times one stops to ask if they can sell a gallon of gas. The purpose of these
‘Selfish cars’ is not to buy something. They stop here only to serve their own
interests.
