DETAILED ANALYSIS OF THE POEM
In this poem, the poet brings out
the importance of quiet introspection. It can transform not only the life of an
individual, but also the face of the earth. The poet says that it does not need
much time to look with him and examine oneself. It will take only as long as it
will take to count to twelve. During this time of introspection, one should
keep still and say nothing at all. It will give him a strange feeling of
togetherness with all others. He will come out of all kinds of selfishness and cruelty.
Thus a man Will being pace not only for himself, but also for all the world
.There will be no wars and all men will live like brothers.
The poet says that this advice of
quietness and stillness should not be confused with total inactivity in fact, what
he says is concerned with life, not with death. Activity is the very essence of
life. Inactivity is death. But for a fresh, better and useful activity, a
little stillness and silence is a most. The poet illustrates his point by
giving the example of the earth.
In winter, the earth becomes so
still and silence that it seems to be dead. But later in spring, it is proved
that it is a live, not dead .It has new beauties and colors added to it.
Similarly, after a little stillness and silence, man can resume his activities
in a fresh and better manner.

(कविता कि विस्तृत व्यख्या)
इस कविता में कवि शांत अन्तनिरिक्षड़ के महत्व को व्यक्त
करता है यह न केवल व्यक्ति के जीवन को बदल सकता है अपितु पूरी धरती के चेहरे को भी
! कवि कहता है कि अपने अंदर झाकने और अपनी
समीक्षा करने के लिए अधिक समय नहीं लगाता है ! इसमें केवल उतना ही समय लगेगा जितना
बाहर तक की गिनती करने में लगेगा अन्तनिरिक्षड़ करने के इस समय के दौरान वयक्ति को
निश्चल बने रहना चाहिए और कोई बात नहीं करनी चाहिए ! इससे उसे सभी दुसरो के साथ एक
होने की अद्धभुत भावना महसूस होगी ! वह हर तरह के स्वार्थ और
निर्दयता से बहार आ जायेगा ! इस तरह व्यक्ति न केवल अपने लिए अपितु सारे
संसार के लिए शांति अर्जित कर लेगा ! वह कोई युद्ध नहीं होंगे और सभी लोग भाइयो की
भाँति रहेंगे !
कवि कहता है
की शांति और निश्चलता के पक्ष में उश्के तर्क का अर्थ पूरी निष्क्रियता नहीं मान लेना चाहिए !वास्तव
में जो बात वह कहता है! उसका सम्बन्ध जीवन
से है न की मृत्यु से जीवन का पूरा तात्पर्य ही क्रिया से है निष्क्रियता का अर्थ
मृत्यु होता है ! किन्तु एक नई , बेहतर और लाभकारी क्रिया के लिए थोड़ी -सी ख़ामोशी और
निष्क्रियता जरुरी होती है ! कवि अपनी बात को धरती का उधाहरण देकर समझाता है !
शीत ऋतू में धरती
इतनी जड़ और शांत हो जाती है की यह मरी हुई
प्रतीत होती है ! किन्तु बाद में बसंत ऋतू के आने पर यह सिद्ध हो जाता है की जीवित
है , न की मृत ! इसमें
नई सुंदरताएँ और नए रंग भर आते हैं ! उसी
प्रकार धोड़ी- सी निस्चलता और ख़ामोशी के बाद मनुष्य अपनी क्रियाओ को एक नए और बेहतर
ढंग से दोबारा शरू कर सकता है !
